Colour Experience Room with antimicrobial technology

7 Apr 2020
News

Biomaster partner Axalta has opened a new Colour Experience Room in London, where architects and designers can explore the company's extensive range of powder coatings for metallic substrates including options with antimicrobial properties.Axalta is also hosting a sensory colour experience at The Building Centre on Thursday 13th June as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2019.

Axalta brought a showroom to London this year in recognition of the city's status as a creative capital and a well-recognised design hub. Previously it has presented Colour Experience Rooms in France, Belgium and Poland.

The sensory experience will showcase Axalta’s vast powder coatings colour palette. Visitors will be invited to the Colour Experience Room to discover how the senses can trigger an emotion and how colour is a key component in that choice.

Dami Babalola, Architecture Colour Expert and curator of the workshop, says: “Colour has no boundaries – indeed it has the capacity to take you to new and exciting places by capturing your senses and igniting your imagination. Our sensory experience will show you just how colour can stimulate every one of your senses – taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing.”

Axalta has one of the most extensive portfolios of powder coating technologies in the industry including options containing Biomaster technology to inhibit the growth of harmful microbes on surfaces.
Biomaster antimicrobial protection works 24/7 and is often used in high-traffic environments where there is great risk from antimicrobial cross-contamination.

These include hospitals, public transport, restaurants, park and playground structures, medical equipment, water treatment plants, food service packaging equipment, pharmaceutical labs and educational and child care facilities.
