As part of its commitment to the environment and its customers, the environmental management system implemented by syphonic roof drainage specialist Fullflow has been awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification by SGS Limited. Fullflow are the only UK syphonic drainage organisation with ISO 14001:2004 certification, in addition to ISO 9001:2000 and BBA accreditation.
On receipt of certification Alan Smith, Managing Director of Fullflow Group Ltd commented:
“We have been working hard to achieve this… I’m very pleased our environmental commitment has been rewarded with ISO 14001:2004 certification. Environmental responsibility is of major importance to Fullflow, it’s an ongoing issue which has been driven by our ethos; to continually strive to improve our organisation, products and services.”
ISO 14001:2004 is the international standard which specifies the requirements for an Environmental Management System, providing a framework against which organisations are able to measure their environmental performance. The publication of an environmental policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements highlight the company’s commitment to its clients, continual improvement and the environment.
Fullflow gained certification on the 4th of April 2008 following implementation of an ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system in the summer of 2007. Fullflow will be regularly assessed to help continually use, monitor and improve its environmental management system and the related processes.
To further encourage Fullflow employees to participate in the target of reducing our carbon footprint a scheme has been set up where all employees have the opportunity to put forward suggestions about ways the company can save energy and reduce waste. This scheme aims to provide the opportunity to all employees to participate in the continuous improvement of the business through recognising and rewarding their innovative and creative thinking.
Fullflow boasts an unparalleled level of experience in the field of syphonic drainage having successfully installed over 30,000 systems across the world. Recent projects include London Heathrow Airport T5, the refurbishment of St Pancras Railway Station, the new National Museum of Liverpool and Barajas Airport in Madrid which is one of the largest European construction projects of this decade.
