The Class 1 fire retardant GRP units were first unveiled at Ecobuild 2010 where significant interest in the initial Midtherm prototypes was shown from UK, European and international investors. The X-StreamTM natural ventilation terminal is essentially an ‘in-box’ solution that is designed to be easily purchased and installed by building companies.
The X-StreamTM can be used as a natural ventilator, a ventilator with additional natural lighting units utilising Litepipes, or as a passive unit with ‘solastar’ solar powered ‘boost extract’ fan that harnesses the power of natural daylight to run a power free integral ABS plastic Solar fan unit.
The Midtherm X-StreamTM product range further boasts Midtherm’s new MID2012 master control panel. A pre-configured control system capable of running as a standalone application or BMS led control strategy. MID2012 is able to control a number of applications per zone including underfloor heating valves, modulating window actuators and on/off fan units. Each MID2012 master controller has an in-built temperature sensor and can be used in conjunction with external Co2 and rain sensors. Night cooling is controlled via either BMS system or a Midtherm 4 Zone 7-day digital time clock with Zone boost over-rides.
