The Firex South event gave visitors the chance to explore the UK’s most comprehensive range of passive fire protection products from Promat UK. Stand H20 showcased examples from Promat’s extensive range of passive fire protection materials which can be combined to create proven, reliable and highly effective solutions.
As the country’s leading manufacturer of fire protection and high temperature insulation solutions, Promat UK supplies a wide range of boards, penetration seals, glazing and spray products. Many are backed by independent third-party accreditations, and all are supported by the comprehensive technical support and guidance which Promat is able to provide.
Promat exhibited various product ranges at the show, including Promat DURASTEEL®. This high-performance protection system features fibre-reinforced cement-core panels that are bonded to steel facing sheets on each side. Promat DURASTEEL® has been rigorously tested for use on a wide variety of applications, including barrier, partitioning, ducting, door and ceiling applications. It combines lightness, strength, impact resistance and durability with exceptional fire resistance and so represents a versatile and highly effective fire protection solution.
Promat also displayed examples of its comprehensive range of fire protection boards, such as Promat SUPALUX®. This non-combustible building board is made from calcium silicate, reinforced with selected fibres and fillers, and delivers reliable and robust protection. Ideal for a wide variety of general-purpose building applications it is strong, easy to handle and light in weight, allowing it to be installed quickly and easily to add up to 240 minutes of fire protection.
Information on other Promat product ranges was also available at the show, as were details of the company’s ability to provide detailed technical advice and guidance. Together, these elements underlined Promat’s ability to deliver a single-source solution for virtually any type of fire protection requirement.
