The Window Film Company has been announced as the winner of a prestigious award.
The Chesham based company came first in the “Excellence in Customer Service” category at the annual Bucks Business Awards, scooping the award ahead of a record number of entrants.
The Window Film Company are among the industry leaders in the supply and installation of window film as well as the printing and fitting of full colour graphics and other decorative solutions. The company serves a diverse range of customers ranging from homeowners to multinational businesses and it was the way in which the company delivered consistently high standards of customer service for each of the differing customers that caught the judging panel’s eyes.
“One of our strengths is also one of our main challenges” explained company founder and Managing Director Micky Calcott. He continued:
“We provide a service to an ever increasing range of clients, each with different needs and levels of understanding about the products we supply. It’s our job to make sure that each customer gets the same level of service and attention, whether it is a residential customer looking for solar control in their conservatory or a world famous brand wanting graphics applied to an entire building.”
Entering the awards is an in depth process which involves providing of a business plan, details of financial performance and evidence to support any statements or claims made within the application. Successful entrants are then subject to a visit from an independent judge, who spent time speaking to members of staff from each of The Window Company’s individual departments, allowing for a full understanding and appreciation of exactly how the company operates with regard to customer service.
In talking of the process, Calcott explained:
“The entry process required us to closely examine the way we do things. It was a hugely worthwhile exercise as it allowed us to recognise exactly what we are doing well, taking stock of the processes and systems that we’ve put in place to deliver excellent customer service. In turn, it also provided an opportunity for us to identify things that we could improve upon. It was a full customer service audit and I’m really pleased that the judges recognised the hard work and effort we continue to put in.
I’m incredibly proud of my colleagues and I’m delighted that their commitment has resulted in the winning of this award. We’ll take some time to enjoy the success, but work is already underway to make sure that we continue to improve and to deliver the best possible service to each and every one of our customers.”
The win follows the acceptance of another award earlier in the year, which saw Director Andy Parkin pick up the “outstanding Employee of the Year” title from the FIS (Finishes and Interiors).
