Tobermore has supplied an expanse of beautiful paving products that have been used to create the breath-taking new landscape at the University of Hertfordshire. Designed by the Landmark Practice, the University has been announced as a winner at this year’s Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) East Awards, in recognition of its architectural excellence.
Tobermore's combination of Eco Hydropave Pedesta in Charcoal, Heather and Natural and Eco Hydropave 240, also in Charcoal, Heather and Natural, helped achieve a bright, contemporary new look for the grounds at the University. The works were headed by Bouygues UK Ltd and the landscaping was completed by Darby Groundworks.
With environmental issues becoming more prevalent in the construction industry, Tobermore’s Eco paving products ensure the creation of a sustainable landscape. The Eco range is manufactured not only to provide environmental benefits, but to also offer fabulous landscape design options to suit every application.
Hard landscaping materials with recycled content were an essential requirement in meeting the BREEAM and planning requirements for the University of Hertfordshire, and as Tobermore's Eco products are manufactured with no less than 64% recycled content, they were the perfect solution.
The choice of Tobermore’s Eco Hydropave 240 paving also provided a permeable landscape solution for the University of Hertfordshire. Eco Hydropave 240 offers a sustainable method of storm water drainage, and promises endless environmental benefits.
