The roofs in natural VMZINC are the most immediately recognisable feature of phase 1 of the £14.2m Hastings Pier redevelopment, due to open once again this summer. Described as a national Victorian treasure, it was brought back to life following years of neglect, closure for eight years and a fire which tore through it in 2010. The domed roofs are particularly eye catching, all the more so because of the standing seam natural zinc topped with ornamental finials which spans the covered seating area. Specialist contractor Roles Broderick Roofing is currently working on phase 2 in which VMZINC PIGMENTO BLUE interlocking panels are being used.
