REHAU Tacker - The flexible solution

REHAU Ltd

A system for screed floors with a typical screed depth of up to 75mm which provides significant time and cost savings during installation by combining previously separate installation steps into one.

REHAU Tacker comprises EPS sheet insulation, with a grid patterned polyethylene membrane.  The 16mm REHAU RAUTHERM universal pipe is fixed in place using a staple gun, following the grid pattern marked on the PE sheet.  By using this system time and cost is saved, the membrane no longer has to be rolled out and fixed in place and fixing rails are no longer required.

This system is ideally suited for applications where underfloor is being installed in more complex areas and circuits that need to avoid drains, pillars, alcoves, etc. as the pipe can be laid around such obstacles.

System Components

Tacker sheets

The Tacker sheets are made from standard expanded polystyrene, available in EPS 100 and EPS 150 grades, 25mm and 50mm thicknesses.

The Tacker sheets comply with standard fire class F (according to BS EN 13163).

Tacker staples

Tacker staples to fit 16mm pipe (grey) and 20mm pipe (Black) are both designed with an innovative hook design which ensures a secure fixing of the pipe to the Tacker sheet.

The foil on the surface of the Tacker sheet is specially designed along with the staples to ensure that the barbs of the staples are held in place, thereby preventing the pipe from lifting during the screeding process. The staple gun allows fixing of staples into the sheet without the need to bend down. The gun is designed to ensure an even feed of staples which are loaded in magazines of 30.
