Forest of Fabrication public lunch tour: school spaces

Event
Fri 1 Mar 2019

Friday 1 March, 1.15pm - 1.45pm

Forest of Fabrication is an exhibition that presents engineered timber as a defining material of 21st Century architecture through 24 projects of Stirling Prize winning practice dRMM.

Join dRMM Director Philip Marsh for the second in our series of guided tours. Conversation will focus around the studio’s education projects, exploring how innovative design can be employed to both help and inspire future generations. Projects featured include Kingsdale School, the first public building in the UK to use CLT, and Wintringham Primary Academy, a two-story school building commissioned by Cambridge County Council with classrooms clustered ‘in the round’.

Registration is free but spaces are limited. Please book to avoid disappointment.

The Forest of Fabrication exhibition and events programme is curated by the Building Centre exhibitions team and dRMM, and supported by The Built Environment Trust.
