A fun packed family day out with a tour of the Forest of Fabrication exhibition at 11.00am, a woodcut printing workshop starting at 1.00pm, and Store Street Spring Market all day long.
Forest of Fabrication exhibition tour, 11.00am - 12.00pm
Join dRMM director Jonas Lencer for our Saturday guided tour. The conversation will focus around the studio’s approach to using the minimum amount of material to achieve maximum effect. Projects featured include dRMM’s Stirling Prize-winning project, Hasting Pier, and proposal to build a 36-storey interlocking CLT tower.
Registration for the exhibition tour is free but spaces are limited. Please book to avoid disappointment.
Woodcut printing workshop, 1.00pm - 4.00pm
Join artist and printmaker Alex Booker for an exciting day of woodcut printing to coincide with Forest of Fabrication - dRMM: pioneers of timber architecture. In response to this brilliant show, we'd love you to make your own timber inspired prints; it could be your favourite project, designer, concept or final construction from the show. With Japanese Shina blocks, Alex will teach you this ancient medium by using traditional Japanese wood cutting tools and printing by hand your own unique designs. This activity is available to 10+ years old. All materials will be provided.

Grethe Mangala Jensen is an actress/puppeteer and founder of Sandal Sticks Theatre, a storytelling company that specialises in presentations of classic fairy tales, myths and legends for all ages
Store Street Spring Market, 10.00am - 9.00pm
A street market with a unique brand of colour and excitement featuring; international street cuisine, artisan grocery foods, ethically traded items, handmade arts, crafts, clothing and jewellery. Also taking place on Friday 29 March, 12pm - 7pm and Sunday 31 March, 11am - 5pm.
The Gentlemen Baristas will also be open from 10am to 3pm for you to relax and enjoy some great coffee.
